@duluoz
You no need use private tag inside code. By Using WLM API you can simply check if current user have access to this connect or not .

You can do this using WLM API or by using a plugin with name WL smart nav. that allow you to show different menu for different level.

Hi, I'm new to membership site with WishList. What I want to happen is that, when a member sign in to my site they should not see the default WordPress menus instead they only see the menus that I have created. Please help.

Hi Andy,

Do you know if we can create a php conditional function based on WLM levels?

Similar to the wordpress conditions like <code>!is_page();</code> -or- <code>!is_post();</code> except for a wlm level, ie: <code>is_wlm_level1();</code>

Hey Andy,

Good on you for being willing to answer questions about Wishlist!

I've been trying to find out if there are any conditional tags or something similar that can be used to determine if a post is protected. For example, I want to add an image next to the post headline (via a hook and my functions file) if the post is protected and a different image if it's not.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

OMG, all I did was upgraded to the latest wishlist member plugin and just noticed a new setting:

Only show content for each membership level: Yes No

It was set to Yes but I dont need it because I use per post:

[private_NOVICE][private_BASIC][private_NORMAL][private_SILVER][private_GOLD][private_PLATINUM][private_LIFETIME][private_TODDLER]

[/private_NOVICE][/private_BASIC][/private_NORMAL][/private_SILVER][/private_GOLD][/private_PLATINUM][/private_LIFETIME][/private_TODDLER]

With what i want to hide.

Now that i changed that, my wordpress also flies in speed.

Looks like that option uses a lot of memory to check permissions.

Nice website, keep up the great work.

@Andy

Thank you Georgina, It is not good idea to use multi level tags inside each others. It may takes times to process them all. However I got idea to create a featur plugin to mix tags and build new tags.

Imagine we could set [private_MyCustomTag] = [private_NOVICE][private_BASIC][private_NORMAL][private_SILVER][private_GOLD][private_PLATINUM][private_LIFETIME][private_TODDLER]

Then you could simply achieve same by using [private_MyCustomTag] your content [/private_MyCustomTag] .Look shorter and clear. by using API this can be done and Performance should be much much better.

I have : You have the latest version of WishList Member (v2.50)

With Version 3.0.1

When i log into wordpress with admin, i see everything.

When i login as a first level (basic) user, my sidebars disappear plus I get 500 pages when clicking on any category.

Please help.

Thank you !

@Andy Actually latest version is WL Widget control version <strong>v1.3.27</strong> Now and it works with no problem. You need contact WishList member support team to give you a copy of this plugin.

I have whishlist and it is running amazing for the membership access.

I have 500 post of different product but i want to add a buy now button automatically to each post with the same price for each product and just give access to that particular post that they bought with a buy now button.

How can i do this ? please help.

------------------------------------------------
@Andy There are so many ways to do this. One way is creating a plugin that insert "buy now button" code at those posts for you. Another quick way is adding " buy now button" code directly to your theme. there are so many ways to protect your post contents. basically it can be protected by user levels. You said you have lost of posts and I am not sure how many products you have. If there are lots of product I suggest using Wishlist member API to automatically protect those post for you.

Hi,
is there a way to use the tag [private] in the code? I'm trying to block the access to a certain category of users to a particular function of buddypress.
Thanks

Hello John Tanedo,
Just set your After Login page to a page ( let say Dashboard). ( from WLM-->settings --> Default after Login Page OR WLM membership tab--> Selected level-->Advanced--> After Login setting) Also make sure you are not using other incompatible plugin. Try to deactivate them and test your site.
Thank you

Thanks a lot for all your help ! But my issue is I feel my wordpres database is messed up but it still works. To bad there isnt one option within wishlist to export everthing ( Setting /Members / Database ) to easily import it again within a new wordpress install. That would be an awesome plugin.

Thanks for your help, hopefully someone comes up with one or wishlist adds it to there plugin.
